TWO FEMALE GUINEA PIGS

WE NEED A HOME PLEASE
 FOR SALE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is Lilly. She was purchased from the Ozaukee County Humane Society two years ago. She is now three. It takes Lilly a little while to get used to attention. She loves apples and carrots, and well just about all fruits and vegetables that Guinea Pigs can eat.
This is Buttercup and yes she does have two eyes. She was bought from the Washington County Humane Society last year.  She is two years old. Buttercup is a bit bolder that Lilly. She also loves her treats.
The girls live is what is called a C&C cage. It's a Cubes and Coroplast cage. It is made of regular cubes that can be purchased at Target or Walmart. The Coroplast was bought at a sign company in Sheboygan. They have two separate plastic igloos they love to nest in and a newly bought wooden one.
They are being sold because our daughter is going off to college and mom (me) chooses not to care for them. So, I guess it's time to pass them on to another family that is looking to care for Guinea Pigs.
We are asking $40.00 for the both of them, they need to go together. We are asking an extra $10.00 for the remaining food and the igloos. If you want the cage you are welcome to it. We suggest you replace the coroplast it is two years old.
If you are interested you can respond on this blog or else call and ask for Lynn 262-384-0604. We live in Cedar Grove.
If you are new to Guinea Pigs here is a website. Always be sure to know what type of fruits and vegetables they can eat.
BICHON FRISE PUPPIES
IT STARTED LIKE THIS!
We made a bold decision to rescue eight Bichon Frise puppies. We were unaware that what we were receiving was four different litters. They ranged between the age of 6 to 9 weeks. Two were way to young to have been taken away for their mother. One was so tiny and thin we weren't sure he would make it.
They were covered with fleas and showed signs that they had been that way for awhile. Of course they had worms as is not uncommon with puppies but still, there is no reason for it. Yet, through all this neglect they were the most loving and happy dogs.
We took them to the Cedar Grove Veterinary Clinic where they saw Dr. Baker. She administered their first round of puppy shots and gave them worming medicine. They have been given Front Line Plus at their proper age.
Our first placement was with in the first two weeks. The General (who turned out to be Genna-now Erica) was purchased by a U.S. Postal worker for her little daughter. The two youngest were purchased by another U.S. Postal worker and her wonderful little family. Each of these families have continued the care these young pups needed.
The puppies are apricot in color. The mothers were purebreds, the father was Bichon with an extra touch of poodle.
We had them for four weeks. During those weeks we have learned a lot about them as a breed. Like, I didn't know that they were breed between a Barbet, a medium-sized French water dog and a Poodle during the 14th century. We have listed a few websites if you are interested.
OUR FIRST IS LITTLE PETE
PETE IS IN THE UPPER RIGHT WHEN HE WASN'T DOING TOO WELL. HIS FASTEST PACE WAS A SLOW WALK.
HE'S FULL OF "P" AND VINEGAR NOW.
PETE'S UPDATE -- HE HAS FOUND A HOME WITH A REALLY GOOD FAMILY THAT WILL BRING OUT THE VERY BEST OF HIM, THE FIRST BEING A NAME CHANGE. I BELIEVE HE WILL BE CALLED SAM.
GINGER
THIS ONE WE CALL GINGER. SHE SEEMS EXTREMELY FOND OF OUR AMERICAN ESKIMO. SHE HAS NO TROUBLE RUNNING UP TO HIM TO PLAY.
GINGER HAS ALSO FOUND A HOME.
NUTMEG HAS FOUND A HOME.
: -- )  woof woof
THIS ONE IS "NUT"MEG, AND SHE IS. SHE ACTED TOUGH AROUND HER SISTERS BUT WHEN BROUGHT INTO A NEW SITUATION SHE IS QUITE SHY.
UPDATE -- SINCE MEG'S TWO SISTERS LEFT SHE HAD TONED DOWN HER PLAY AND SEEMED MORE RELAXED.  WE'RE SO HAPPY SHE HAS FOUND A HOME AND TWO LAPS TO LIE ON.
All three girls were a love and totally melt when given affection. Pete does, too. He had taken over the role of the watch dog. He heard things the girls didn't, shaping into his male role nicely. Unfortunately he did get picked on by the girls but make up for it with tail biting. All of this made Little Pete get lifted up a lot. Then he would melt in your lap like a piece of chocolate on a hot day.
It's been an enormous amount of work but a joyful pleasure. God always works in mysterious ways. We have learned to never say, "We'll never do this again!"
